Acrylic polymers to modify reactive hotmelts for flat lamination applications
Typical Applications
Flat lamination applications require long open times to permit long handling times needed to bond huge panels or sandwich composites. On the other hand, initial strength has to be very high to hold the bonded parts in place without any further mechanical fixation.
To achieve these specific requirements a polymer mixture of DYNACOLL® AC acrylics and DYNACOLL® 7000 Polyester-Polyols is recommend. Those RHM's are mainly used for:
To achieve these specific requirements a polymer mixture of DYNACOLL® AC acrylics and DYNACOLL® 7000 Polyester-Polyols is recommend. Those RHM's are mainly used for:
- Sandwich composites (of aluminium, FRP panels, foam or wood-based substrates e. g. for recreational vehicals)
- Honeycomb structures (e.g. for door manufacturing)
- Foil laminated particleboard (e.g. for furniture)
- Medium density fiberboard (e.g. for furniture)
Benefits at a glance
- Lowers the viscosity
- Extends the open time
- Improves the tack and creep resistance directly after bonding
