DYNOCEL® 680

Dynocel 680 is a co-formed zeolite and activated alumina adsorbent for the removal of polar and acid gas contaminants from vapor or liquid phase olefinic hydrocarbon streams. Dynocel 680 is particularly useful for the removal of water, alcohols, ammonia, ethers, ketones and hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and carbonyl sulfide to non-detectible levels. The homogenous distribution of zeolite and activated alumina in Dynocel 680 assures profitable and reliable operations. On-spec products, uniform and predictable contaminant removal while exhibiting low reactivity are key benefits of using Dynocel 680 for your purification application. Additionally, Dynocel 680 does not require a preload step which improves safety concerns and provdes significant cost savings since no olefin is required during the adsorbent regeneration process.

Typical Applications

Dynocel 680 is a proven hybrid adsorbent for the removal of polar compounds such as water, alcohols, ammonia, ethers, ketones and mercaptans AND hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and carbonyl sulfide to non-detectible levels from ethylene, propylene, isobutylene, 1-octene (co-monomer) and other olefinic process streams.

Benefits at a glance

Dynocel 680 has a unique and optimized formulation which allows the removal of polar compounds such as water, alcohols, ammonia, ethers, ketones and mercaptans AND hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and carbonyl sulfide to non-detectible levels from ethylene, propylene and other olefinic process streams. Dynocel 680 does not require a preload step and exhibits no reactivity with olefins. Reliability is improved since no preload step is required. Product quality and on-stream time is assured since Dynocel 680 does not react with the process stream to form oligomers and other undesirable by-products.

Further Information

Storage:

The material is stored in its original containers/packaging in a dry, covered location protected
from the ambient environment
• The material is protected from direct exposure to sunlight and rain (prolonged exposure to
direct sunlight may degrade the packaging)
• The material is not subjected to temperatures exceeding 450°F/230°C while in storage
• The material is stored elevated off the ground to ensure that there is no exposure to liquid
water
• Once the material is loaded into the vessel, a thorough nitrogen purge is recommended to
remove excessive free moisture
• Desiccant products intended for regenerative service will require a complete thermal
regeneration cycle (in TSA service) or several pressure swing cycles (in PSA service) before full
activity is restored

Packaging:

  • 2000-lb (907.2-kg) supersacks
  • Alternative packaging available.

Shelf life:

5 years in original packaging stored in a dry, covered location
