TEGO® Antifoam 14 can be incorporated into formulation concentrates to obtain low foaming fluids.
With limitations it can be added to ready to use fluids as tank side defoamer.
TEGO® Antifoam 14 is suitable for emulsifiable as well as for water-soluble metalworking fluids.
In mild alkaline metal cleaners TEGO® Antfoam 14 can be recommended as tank side defoamer.

Presence of unmodified polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)
We do not use unmodified polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as a raw material during the production of the organo-modified siloxanes that are part of TEGO® Antifoam 14.
Based on an analytical method that includes isolation of unmodified PDMS by preparative chromatography and quantification of the isolated fraction, followed by NMR spectroscopic analysis of the isolated fraction, it can be stated that the defoamer TEGO® Antifoam 14 does not contain unmodified polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) above the treshold of the analytical detection (detection limit of the applied method is 0.1 m%).

- Does not deteriorate the shelf-life of ready to use dilutions
- Is free of silicone oil. Therefore, it has no adverse effects on finishing processes (e.g. painting, electroplating) of treated parts
