TEGIN® O V is an 100 % active, non-ionic emulsifier based on a mono-di-glyceride of oleic acid. The at 25 °C paste-like TEGIN® O V quickly becomes liquid at slightly elevated temperatures.

In case of metalworking applications, TEGIN® O V is mainly used as co-emulsifier in combination with hydrophilic emulsifiers (e.g. TAGAT® V 20 and TAGAT® TO V) for the formulation of environmentally friendly lubricants based on vegetable (e.g. rape seed oil, sun flower oil, canola oil) and synthetic ester oils (e.g. trimethylol propane trioleate) as well as combinations of these oils with mineral oils.In non-water-miscible lubricants (e.g. neat oils, lubricating oils) TEGIN® O V is often used as lubricity improver.
