BREAK-THRU® AF 9903 is an antifoam concentrate based on organo-modified siloxanes.
Typical Applications
BREAK-THRU® AF 9903 can be incorporated into formulations e. g. soluble liquids (SL). Glyphosate is a good example as it often contains tallow amine ethoxylates (Americas) or APGs (EMEA, Asia) as additives which create foam when preparing and applying the spray solution. A 360 a. e. glyphosate IPA salt formulation was prepared with 10% v/v of a tallow amine ethoxylate and BREAK-THRU® AF 9903. After mixing the components, each formulation is then diluted 1: 50, and 50 ml are poured into a 100 ml graduated cylinder. Following vigorous shaking for 15 seconds, the foam height is recorded. At concentrations as low as 0.015%, BREAK-THRU® AF 9903 clearly provides excellent foam control upon dilution in the tank mix.
