TEGO® Antifoam 2450 is an APEO-free organic antifoam concentrate based on vegetable oil.
Typical Applications
- As process aid in the water-based polymerization and stripping of SBR/NBR rubber materials
- As process aid in the water – based polymerization and stripping of SBR/NBR latices, Acrylics and E-PVC
- For the defoaming of SBR & acrylate emulsions as used in adhesives and paper coatings
- As dewebbing aid for latex dipping applications
Benefits at a glance
Unlike conventional defoamers, TEGO® Antifoam 2450 was specifically developed to avoid pre-mature coagulation during stripping in SB rubber production. This allows for less cleaning of the reaction vessel and the demonomerization column while TEGO® Antifoam 2450 does not hinder the coagulation stage. Tests with the customer specific emulsions are recommended.
TEGO® Antifoam 2450 contains no silicone, that might cause surface issues during glove production or on substrate if used for adhesive applications.
