TEGO® Antifoam 2460 is an APEO-free organic antifoam concentrate based on mineral oil.
Typical Applications
TEGO® Antifoam 2460 is designed for the use as process aid in the water-based polymerization of SBR/ NBR rubber materials. However, for the de-foaming of SBR emulsions as used in adhesives and paper coatings, we rather recommend to use the specialized defoamers TEGO® Antifoam 2290 and 2291.
Benefits at a glance
Unlike conventional defoamers, TEGO® Antifoam 2460 was specifically developed to avoid premature coagulation. This allows for less cleaning of the reaction vessel and the demonomerization column while the TEGO® Antifoam 2460 does not hinder the coagulation stage.
