Polymer ST 81 is a silane-terminated polymer that is used to produce high strength adhesive formulations with a tensile strength up to 10 N/mm². The outstanding high tensile strength properties allows to address with Polymer ST 81 applications in the wood construction market or for automotive & transportation applications as an alternative to pulyuerthane based adhesives.
Typical Applications
As Polymer ST 81 does not contain plasticizers, it offers a large variability in formulation design. It allows the formulation of both tin- and phthalate-free products. Furthermore, its excellent build-up of strength up to 10 N/mm² while being manually applicable makes it an interesting product to replace polyurethane adhesives.
