ALBIFLEX® 1166 is a novel aliphatic urethan diacrylate resin intended for formulating high-performance elastomers. ALBIFLEX® 1166 is liquid at ambient temperature and cures with all radical photoinitiators as well as with peroxides. It can be processed by all conventional casting or coating techniques.
Typical Applications
ALBIFLEX® 1166 is particularly well suited for use in flexible coatings and sealant compounds in electrical / electronic applications. Acrylic adhesives can be optimized regarding flexibility without loss in strength and other properties.
Benefits at a glance
The specially designed structure of ALBIFLEX® 1166, made up of aliphatic urethane and acrylic segments, provides an outstanding combination of properties
The combination of flexible aliphatic urethane and acrylic segments in the polymer structure creates an elastomeric material combining the outstanding chemical properties of acrylates with the high mechanical strength of aliphatic urethane resins.
- Much higher strength than traditional diacrylates
- Excellent adhesion on most plastic substratesBetter weather stability than polyester acrylates
- Excellent compatibility to NANOCRYL®-products
- Very low halogen content
