Typical Applications
TEGO® Antifoam 692 is particularly suitable as pre-defoamer for a wide range of emulsifiable lubricants such as metalworking fluids (MWF) or fire-resistant hydraulic fluids (HFA).
It can be applied for soluble oils and semi synthetic fluids based on mineral oils or ester oils as well as for lubricants that are based on blends of those oils.

Benefits at a glance
TEGO® Antifoam 692
Presence of unmodified polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)
We do not use unmodified polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as a raw material during the production of the organo-modified siloxane that is part of TEGO® Antifoam 692.
Based on an analytical method that includes
it can be stated that the defoamer TEGO® Antifoam 692 does not contain unmodified polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) above the treshold of the analytical detection.
The detection limit of the applied method is 0.1 m%.
- Is a highly efficient defoamer concentrate even at low dosage levels
- Provides excellent foam knock down and hold down properties
- Offers a deaerating effect in water-mixed fluids
- Shows an outstanding long-lasting defoaming persistence
- Provides excellent filterability properties, which minimizes the amount of additional tank side defoamer
- Allows the formulation of emulsifiable lubricant concentrates with good storage stability
- Does not deteriorate the shelf-life of ready to use emulsions
- Is a homogeneous defoamer concentrate that shows no deposits even after one year of storage
- Is free of silicone oil and thus has no adverse effects on finishing processes (e.g. painting, electroplating) of treated parts
