TEGO® RC 1908 is a solvent-free, UV curing silicone acrylate release coating for premium release designed to cater to a wide range of applications, including electronic die-cutting, industrial, and bitumen adhesives. TEGO® RC 1908 is a “ready to use” one component blend with TEGO® Photoinitiator A 18.
Typical Applications
TEGO® RC 1908 is used in the manufacturing of release coatings with premium release properties for self-adhesive products, like e.g.
- High speed auto-apply and hand apply applications
- Electronic dye cutting labels and sealings
- Bitumen and roofing materials
Benefits at a glance
- TEGO® RC 1908 is easy to use as it is premixed in the right ratio incl. photoinitiator TEGO® A 18.
- It can be used on both film substrates and standard base papers.
- The low viscosity allows coating with most printing technologies and common silicone coaters.
- The release performance will be better if higher silicone coat weights are applied. Thus 2 g/m² and even 3 g/m² may be beneficial.
- Results of Subsequent adhesion tests are lower than other Evonik TEGO RC products
