TEGO® PPA 51-7 is an organo-modified siloxane designed to be used as a PFAS replacement polymer processing aid in various film and fiber processes.
Typical Applications
TEGO® PPA 51-7 can be applied in various film processes, e.g. cast film, blown film and others. The additive is suitable for transparent as well as matte film applications.
TEGO® PPA 51-7 is used in fiber spinning processes to enhance the throughput and reduce fiber fraction during extrusion. It is also useful in challenging extrusion operations where a smooth surface appearance is expected, such as in pipe and profile extrusio.
TEGO® PPA 51-7 is a PFAS replacement for fluorine-based polymer processing aids (PPA) to prevent shark skin appearance and die drool built up during film manufacturing.
TEGO® PPA 51-7 can also reduce the coefficient of friction (COF) and improves slip performance. TEGO® PPA 51-7 acts as a dispersing additive for pigments and fillers.
