TEGOSTAB® B 8462 is a non-hydrolysable polyether polydimethylsiloxane copolymer for manufacturing polyurethane rigid foam.
Typical Applications
The main fields of application for TEGOSTAB® B 8462 are rigid polyurethane flow formulations such as appliance and discontinuously produced sandwich insulation panels. It dissolves in all commonly applied rigid foam polyols and works well with various blowing agents, especially with hydrocarbons and halogenated molecules (HFCs, HFOs).
TEGOSTAB® B 8462 shows balanced properties: It helps to achieve a fine-celled foam with its high nucleation potency. At the same time, it improves the solubility of the blowing agent in the polyol blend by its specially designed molecular structure.
