How farmers use data to grow our food
Like clockwork
Tomatoes, peppers and eggplants: tons of the best vegetables grow in a mega greenhouse on Lake Constance. The almost closed system runs sustainably and smoothly. But just a few germs could ruin the harvest. A digitally controlled hygiene system from Evonik puts a stop to this with environmentally friendly hydrogen peroxide.
Good in the feed
Animal feed is usually a mix of raw materials. However, in addition to traditional ingredients such as corn and soy, manufacturers are increasingly using natural residues from agriculture, which can still be put to good use. Evonik has developed a method for fully automatic balancing. This also supports healthy animal nutrition.
