Sönke's expertise is based on many years of experience

Currently, I am the Head of Process Modeling and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) at Evonik Operations GmbH in Hanau, Germany. I have held this position since October 2015. With my passion for modeling and thermodynamics, I strive to continuously improve and advance our process technologies.

Before my current role, I worked as a Senior Process Engineer at Evonik Specialty Chemicals in Shanghai from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, I led the Process Simulation team at Evonik Industries AG in Marl from 2008 to 2012, where I gained valuable experience. After completing my higher education, including my habilitation at TU Braunschweig, my journey began in 1998 as a process engineer at Degussa AG, where I laid the foundations for my professional development.
