Andree uses his expertise for the circular economy

After completing an MSc in Environmental Engineering, including international studies in Germany and New Zealand, and earning a Doctorate from the University of Bremen, I began my professional career in process and environmental technology.

I started in process engineering roles within environmental and process technology, gaining hands‑on experience in industrial applications. I then moved into Business Development and Innovation at Evonik in the United States, where I worked as a Principal Process Engineer, supporting technology development and translating technical concepts into business‑relevant solutions.

Over the years, I have taken on increasing responsibility at Evonik, combining process technology expertise with leadership roles. As Head of Environmental Technology and Head of Technical Center, I led teams, shaped technology strategies, and supported the implementation of sustainable and future‑oriented solutions across operations.

Since 2022, I have been working as Head of Technology Platform Depolymerization Technologies at Evonik Operations. In this role, I focus on developing advanced technologies into operational environments, strengthening performance, and supporting long‑term operational readiness. Across my roles, my work is shaped by the close connection between technical depth, practical execution, and collaboration across functions and regions.
