My career path at Evonik

I joined Evonik in August 2025, and since then I have learned that numbers are meaningful. Behind every figure is a story about people, decisions, and impact. My role allows me to connect these stories and translate them into meaningful outcomes for the business and our customers. Let me share a bit about my journey!

Evonik: More than a career choice

I chose Evonik because it is a global company with strong values. Its purpose, "Leading Beyond Chemistry," demonstrates a commitment not only to producing high-quality chemicals but also to caring for people and promoting environmental sustainability.From the very beginning, the environment felt welcoming, diverse, and supportive. I am proud to work for a company where strategic cross-functional collaboration truly matters and where different perspectives come together to create a meaningful impact.

Onboarding: A strong start, every day

I felt well supported through structured onboarding and continuous learning. Programs like the Evonik School of Marketing and regular MS Teams meetings are helping me work across teams and regions.  

My role: Turning data into decisions

I am a Business Manager for the Alkoxides and Hydrogenation Catalysts for OIls and Fats (OFC) businesses in Indonesia. My role connects numbers, strategies, and people. I’m proud to take part in Indonesia’s sustainability efforts by supplying Evonik’s high performance catalyst for palm-based biodiesel, advancing the government’s B50 blending initiative to reduce imported fuels dependence. 

Skills: There is more beyond

Strong communication skills are essential, analytical thinking is equally important. Adding adaptability & teamworking skills complete the whole picture. 

Collaboration: Can be done, even miles apart   

For me, it is clearly a benefit. Despite geographical distance, collaboration with the headquarters is close and effective. Frequent check-ins, and open communication make it feel like one connected team, regardless of where we are located. 

My compass: What guides me every day

My biggest personal and professional influence is my mother. Through her actions, she showed me that it is possible to take on multiple roles without compromising any of them. This belief shapes how I approach my career and my future.  

I live by the mindset that things change, numbers may fluctuate, but hardship always comes with ease. And that is what makes this journey at Evonik not only meaningful, but truly special.
