Together, Borussia Dortmund and Evonik have achieved all there is to achieve in football, including championship titles, cup victories and not one, but two UEFA Champions League finals. This unforgettable journey side by side has taken Borussia Dortmund to being one of Europe’s top teams. Initially a little-known player, Evonik has evolved into a likeable brand with tremendous appeal, at first in Germany and then in the international arena – in the public eye, among football fans and above all in the Group’s markets across the globe.

The five-year partnership will see Evonik and Borussia Dortmund working together primarily in the areas of sustainability and health. These are topics that play an important role in both partners’ strategic agenda. Additionally, Evonik will continue to leverage Borussia Dortmund’s national and international profile in strengthening its own brand presence, customer retention and employer branding. The focus will be on the club’s worldwide summer tours, its football academy and eFootball activities. The partners agreed not to disclose any details of the financial arrangements.
