Evonik’s biosurfactant TEGO® Wet 580 Terra has received the Ringier Technology Innovation Award in the coatings industry, recognizing its exceptional performance and sustainability benefits. This award highlights Evonik’s leadership in developing high-performing, environmentally friendly solutions that meet the increasing demand for sustainable coatings and inks.
The development of bio-based products has become a significant trend in the coatings and inks industry.
Evonik’s biosurfactants are produced by microorganisms trough a unique fermentation process. Unlike fossil-based surfactants, TEGO® Wet 580 Terra is100% derived from natural resources. Besides having very low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), their natural origin makes them readily biodegradable and well tolerated by aquatic organisms.
