The VESTANAT® EP-M series represents our portfolio of IPMS-based PUR adducts engineered to give formulators greater flexibility when designing high-performance coatings. These binders support tailored formulation strategies to meet specific substrate, processing and performance requirements.

VESTANAT® EP-M 222 is a binder with a more flexible structure, enabling coatings that achieve an excellent balance of mechanical flexibility, scratch resistance and overall durability. When combined with VESTANAT® EP-M 60, scratch resistance can be fine-tuned to meet application specific performance requirements.

VESTANAT® EP-M 222 is used in flexible high-performance coating systems that must withstand mechanical stress while maintaining strong resistance to wear, chemicals and environmental exposure.

Clear coats (Automotive OEM/refinish, plastic, maintenance)
  • Enables flexible, scratch-resistant stoving coatings, especially when combined with VESTANAT® EP-M 60.
  • Ideal for applications where substrates may bend or deform, such as automotive exterior parts, refinishing jobs, and high-quality plastic or maintenance coatings.
  • Cocrosslinker in stoving systems.
  • Improves coating flexibility and helps prevent cracking during deformation.
  • Maintains high chemical, scratch, and mechanical resistance when used alongside VESTANAT® EP‑M 60.

VESTANAT® EP-M grades are PUR-silane hybrid binders suitable for both room temperature and elevated-temperature curing. They enable the formulation of highly scratch-resistant coatings with robust chemical durability and strong mechanical performance.

VESTANAT® EP-MF grades: Ready-to-Use 1K Moisture-curable Systems

VESTANAT® EP-MF grades are self-crosslinking IPMS-PUR adducts that enable a ready-to-use, 1K solution for moisture-curable systems for room temperature applications with short drying times. These grades combine the favorable properties of PUR technology with glass-like hardness, all in a single, isocyanate-free component —ideal for modern, low VOC, easy-to-process coatings.
