Origin and Source
Welcome to Ghana! Our product is originated from here, where we source baobab seeds for natual cosmetic applications.
We are procuring baobab seeds from Northern Ghana and Burkina Faso in Africa, which are located near the Sahel region. All baobab fruits are collected from the wild and can be traced back to the individual collectors. The seeds used are leftovers from food consumption.
SUSTAINABEAUTY from “The GREAT GREEN WALL”
ECOHANCE® Soft Baobab oil is derived from the seeds of the baobab fruit, which grows in the Sahel region of West Africa. Baobab trees are able to grow in poor soil and withstand harsh conditions such as heat and drought, making them crucial for preventing desertification in the region. Evonik is committed to responsible sourcing of baobab oil in partnership with the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and supports the Great Green Wall Initiative. This ensures that the sourcing of baobab oil is sustainable and promotes social and economic development in the region while protecting the local ecosystem. Additionally, ECOHANCE® Soft Baobab oil is FairWild™ certified, which guarantees transparency and traceability in the supply chain.
Proven Superior Quality and Profound Claims Substantiation
ECOHANCE® Soft Baobab oil is unmatched in quality and purity, meeting the highest standards for cosmetic applications with its light color and neutral odor.
Its fatty acid composition is well-balanced, containing a high amount of nature-identical triglycerides with unsaturated omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids. This makes ECOHANCE® Soft Baobab oil an excellent choice for cosmetic formulations, providing a rich and soft after-feel on the skin with good absorption. It also has a high amount of tocopherol, which ensures high oxidative stability.
Moreover, several dermatological studies have demonstrated the beneficial effects of ECOHANCE® Soft Baobab oil on the skin.
