MaxiPure® Polysorbate 80 is a non-ionic surfactant. It is manufactured from highly pure oleic acid (≥98%), ensuring minimal impurities compared to standard grades. MaxiPure® Polysorbate 80 has reduced peroxide levels and water content, resulting in outstanding clarity.
In injectable formulations, Polysorbate 80 enhances the solubility of hydrophobic drugs and stabilizes monoclonal antibodies always ensuring optimal bioavailability.
In biopharmaceutical production, highly pure Polysorbate 80 can be used as a surfactant in cell culture media to enhance nutrient solubility. It also exceptionally suitable for other critical steps further down the process, for example in viral inactivation, protein stabilization or purification steps.
