OctaMax™

OctaMax™ is the sustainable solution for cracked gasoline HDS units.
Evonik’s OctaMax™ catalyst is a sustainable catalyst offering used in gasoline hydrotreating units to drive the sulfur levels down to acceptable limits while maintaining the quality (octane) of the finished fuel.
These units typically come after the Fluidized Catalytic Cracking unit in a refinery, our uniquely selected NiMo and CoMo catalysts are regenerated at optimal conditions to improve performance and reduce costs.

Markets & Applications

Navigating the balancing act - Refiners today face a critical challenge: meeting ultra-low sulfur targets without sacrificing octane value

In FCC gasoline hydrotreating, this trade-off directly impacts profitability.

A smarter way to balance both with OctaMax™:

  • Octane retention at fresh catalyst levels
  • High desulfurization activity at lower temperatures
  • Extended cycle length and reduced operating costs

Built on selectively regenerated catalysts, OctaMax™ also supports lower raw material use and reduced waste.
