VISIOMER® 6976 is a specialty methacrylate monomer consisting of a methacryloyl‑benzophenone derivative dissolved in a methyl methacrylate/methacrylic acid mixture. The polymerizable benzophenone methacrylate enables UV/daylight‑induced post‑crosslinking after the initial polymerization. It can be incorporated in many acrylic polymer systems and is especially effective in acrylic emulsion polymers providing improved weathering resistance, reduced dirt pick-up and mechanical stability.
