TEGOSTAB® B 8239 F is a surfactant for manufacturing flexible polyether polyurethane foams. It is particularly well-suited for the production of flame-retardant (FR) foam grades.
Additionally, TEGOSTAB® B 8239 F is optimized to exhibit the lowest possible level of micro-gel particles which might lead to pinholes in sensitive formulations. It is therefore optimized for foam types combining FR properties with a regular – pinhole free - cell structure.
Typical Applications
TEGOSTAB® B 8239 F is typically used in manufacturing foam grades for flame-lamination processes. It belongs to the group of the so-called “FR silicone surfactants”. This term characterizes surfactants which are suitable for manufacturing of such foams that are subjected to flammability tests like MVSS 302, UL 94, and even the more stringent, British Standard BS 5852, Part2, usually referred to as Crib-V test.
