DABCO® BL 19, bis(2-dimethylaminoethyl)ether, is a tertiary amine that primarily promotes the urea (water-isocyanate) reaction in flexible and rigid polyurethane foams.
Typical Applications
DABCO® BL 19 can be used in all types of foam formulations. The strong catalytic effect on the blow reaction can be balanced by the addition of a strong gel catalyst. If amine emissions are a concern, low emission alternatives are available for many end use applications. DABCO® BL 19 is not recommended for spray foam applications.
