Products of the TEGOSIL® RV range are vinylfunctional polydimethylsiloxanes with different molecular weights and viscosities. They contain terminal and pendant vinyl groups. Due to this structure, they produce higher crosslinking densities than TEGOSIL® VS grades of a comparable viscosity level. The number in the product name indicates the viscosity of each particular grade. In addition, TEGOSIL® stands for high-quality silicone solutions with low cyclic content, ensuring optimized performance and compliance with stringent industry standards (D4 < 250ppm, D5 < 1000ppm, D6 < 1000ppm).
Typical Applications
TEGOSIL® RV can be used as a base polymer or as an additive with TEGOSIL® VS. It cures by a platinum-catalyzed addition reaction with silicone crosslinkers containing SiH-groups. The formulator can adjust the formulation properties over a wide range by selecting the suitable crosslinkers (TEGOSIL® CL 100 series, TEGOSIL® CL 200 series), catalysts (TEGOSIL® CAT 500 series), additives and fillers. .
