TEGOPREN® 5806 is a polyether siloxane that exhibits excellent spreading properties and significantly reduces surface tension in aqueous solutions. It is a non-ionic product with 100 % active content.
Typical Applications
Apart from its extraordinary reduction of surface tension in aqueous solutions, the main property of TEGOPREN® 5806 is super spreading. This is the fast coverage of large hydrophobic surface.
TEGOPREN® 5806 shows excellent surface wetting in adhesive application, where the coating of difficult substrates is required. Furthermore, it is recommended for curtain coating applications.
The improvement of penetration into paper or its wetting of fibres, make TEGOPREN® 5806 suitable for adhesives used in the paper, wood and furniture market as well as for non-wovens and hygiene products.

Benefits at a glance
TEGOPREN® 5806 is a solvent-free easy to handle liquid
Due to its non-ionic nature it is compatible with cationic, anionic, non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants
The use of small amounts of TEGOPREN® 5806 offers dramatic super spreading due to its ability to greatly reduce surface tension in aqueous solutions and of water-based systems in general.
It therefore enhances the spreading on non-polar and hydrophobic surfaces e. g. polypropylene.
