Evonik wins German Brand Award for new Beauty & Personal Care brand identity

Evonik has been honored with a German Brand Award in two categories – “Excellent Brands – Product Brand of the Year” and “Excellent Brands – Beauty & Care” – in recognition of its new Beauty & Personal Care brand identity.

Essen, Germany. Evonik has been honored with a German Brand Award in two categories – “Excellent Brands – Product Brand of the Year” and “Excellent Brands – Beauty & Care” – in recognition of its new Beauty & Personal Care brand identity. Developed in collaboration with long-standing creative partner Liebchen+Liebchen, the new identity brings to life a magical and mystical brand that communicates Evonik’s promise to enable customers to turn their ideas into reality. Built on the core pillars of sustainability, disruption, and partnership, the new brand identity was officially launched at two industry trade shows PCHI in China and in-cosmetics Global in Paris.

Over the past decade, Evonik has strategically transformed its Beauty & Personal Care business into a leading provider of sustainable solutions through a series of acquisitions and portfolio optimizations. The new brand identity unites this expanded portfolio under one cohesive umbrella, positioning Evonik as a holistic solutions partner to the global beauty and personal care industry. Inspired by natural elements, the visual language underscores the company’s commitment to sustainability, while bringing its slogan “The Soul and Science of Beauty” to life.

“This achievement is a great honor and a strong validation of our strategic direction,” said Ute Schick, head of the Care Solutions business line. “Our new brand identity reflects both the transformation of our portfolio and our ambition to empower customers to innovate and create – enabling ideas they may not have thought possible.”

The German Brand Award is an initiative of the German Design Council and GMK Markenberatung. With over 1,300 entries from 19 countries, German Brand Awards are among the most prestigious brand awards in Europe. They honor companies, organizations and individuals who set new standards in brand strategy, communication and design, highlighting outstanding brand successes, innovative campaigns and forward-looking concepts. Established in 2016, the awards are judged by an independent jury of experts from business, academia, consulting and creative agencies.
