PERACLEAN® 0.4 is an effective disinfectant with a broad application spectrum, which is characterized by excellent bactericidal, fungicidal, virucidal and sporicidal effectiveness and used for disinfection of medical instruments, equipment or surfaces. Usually the product is applied without further dilution. For disinfection of pre-cleaned surfaces or equipment, the product is applied via a low-pressure sprayer. Pre-cleaned instruments are usually disinfected in an immersion bath, filled with PERACLEAN® 0.4. The exposure time must always be correlated on the basis of microbiological tests for a specific application and verified by corresponding control procedures. After disinfection procedure the treated surfaces can be rinsed with pure water or allowed to air dry. to remove all residues. PERACLEAN® 0.4 decomposes into the environmentally harmless residues water, oxygen and acetic acid after disinfection.

Peracetic acid has to be stored in original containers or tank farms in an ambient condition protected from the direct sun irradiation area. It is important to keep peracetic acid protected from all types of contamination and away from of combustible/ oxidizable materials. Containers should be stored unopened and in an upright position.

When stored properly in the originally sealed HDPE packaging, the shelf life of the product is 24 months from the date of production.
