BLITZ® 22 is a peracetic acid-based antimicrobial agent for the use in red meat applications. It can be applied directly to red meat carcasses, parts, and organs to effectively reduce contamination of pathogenic bacteria, escherichia coli, salmonella typhimurium, and listeria monocytogenes as well as other bacteria that may result in product spoilage or decay. BLITZ® 22 in an equilibrium solution of hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid.
BLITZ® 22 is a chemistry that, when used as directed, offers an economical, low-capital approach to red meat food treatment. It is permitted for use in the processing of organic red meat in accordance with 7 C.F.R. 205.605.

Storage:
Peracetic acid has to be stored in original containers or tank farms in an ambient condition protected from the direct sun irradiation area. It is important to keep peracetic acid protected from all types of contamination and away from of combustible/ oxidizable materials. Containers should be stored unopened and in an upright position.
