SPECTRUM® 22 is a chlorine-free antimicrobial agent, specially designed for the use as a food processing aid for manufacturing of poultry meat. The product meets USDA standards and approved for use at multiple intervention points, including online reprocessing (OLR), finishing chillers, chillers, parts, salvage, and other poultry processing waters. It is applied to poultry parts, carcasses, and organs, to reduce contamination of pathogenic bacteria like Salmonella, Campylo-bacter and Escherichia Coli. When used as directed, the product also reduces bacterial contamination that may cause product spoilage.
SPECTRUM® 22 is based on environmentally friendly chemistry and a non-foaming, no-rinse product. It generates no dangerous fumes, non-corrosive to stainless steel at use levels and breaks down to acetic acid, oxygen and water.
SPECTRUM® 22 is approved as food contact material in the US.
