POLYMER LVS 100

Polymer LVS 100 is a low viscous vinylterminated polydimethylsiloxane for the use as a base polymer in addition curing silicone formulations. In contrast to the standard grade Polymer VS 100 it is particularly suited to achieve highly flowable, self-levelling formulations with highest filler loads as e.g. 80-90 wt.-% alumina for thermal interface materials.

Typical Applications

Polymer LVS 100 cures by a platinum-catalyzed addition reaction with silicone crosslinkers containing SiH groups. Due to the low content of volatile constituents and the crosslinking mechanism, the curing shrinkage remains low and no volatile or corrosive substances are formed while curing.
Polymer LVS 100 can be used for a wide range of applications by selecting the suitable crosslinkers (Crosslinker 100 series, Crosslinker 200 series), catalysts (Catalyst 500 series), additives and fillers.
Fillers can be dispersed into Polymer LVS 100 by the commonly used equipment as e.g. planetary dissolvers. Mixing under vacuum is recommended to avoid inclusion of air bubbles. Temperature should be monitored during the mixing process to avoid overheating.
