Bis[3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl]disulfane
Typical Applications
Low rolling resistance tire treads
Benefits at a glance
Si 75® reacts with hydroxyl groups of white fillers during mixing and with the polymer during vulcanization under formation of covalent chemical bonds. Compared to the polysulfidic organosilane Si 69®, Si 75® has a higher temperature stability and therefore allows higher mixing temperatures. Si 75® imparts greater tensile strength, higher moduli, reduced compression set, increased abrasion resistance, and optimized dynamic properties.
