The Changeover Project Lead I provides leadership and support for planning, executing, and reporting accelerated process changeovers at the Tippe Production plants. Key responsibilities include developing tactical plans and clear project timelines, ensuring changeovers meet production schedules, identifying and addressing gaps in execution, and driving continuous improvement while motivating teams to achieve business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain changeover timelines: Create detailed project schedules covering all aspects of critical changeovers (maintenance, testing, cleaning, start-up activities). Update and monitor timelines daily, addressing barriers and resolving issues.

  • Organize and manage cross-functional teams: Lead teams across engineering, operations, maintenance, and quality to drive accelerated changeovers. Schedule and lead daily meetings to prioritize tasks, identify critical paths, and resolve conflicts.

  • Track and report changeover metrics: Monitor changeover performance (cost, schedule, resource use) and report progress. Present key metrics and results to management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred) or 10+ years of project execution and plant experience.

  • Project Management Certification (preferred).

  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills (MS Office, SAP).

  • Ability to influence teams without direct supervisory authority.

  • Capable of managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.

  • Proven tactical leadership and the ability to drive group objectives.

  • Supervisory experience (coaching and performance improvement) is a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Skilled in motivating and mentoring others in a manufacturing environment.

  • Expertise in analyzing data, improving processes, and implementing solutions.

  • Clear and effective communication across all organizational levels.

  • Flexibility in hours to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

  • Occasional travel required.
