Job Title : Technical Service Manager (Comfort & Insulation)

Work Location : Thane

Entity : Evonik India

Purpose of the position:

The function ensures the successful operation of all ADTS-related tasks in the respective region and PL, i.e

  • Joint business development with sales at target customers/markets.

  • Manage tech. service for the specific markets for Automotive & Comfort Flex applications

  • Identification of regional technology drivers

  • Management of the ADTS lab and local lab team in Thane

  • EH&SQ responsibility for lab operations in Thane

Key Responsibilities:

Lab Management Comfort ADTS Lab, Thane

  • Overseeing lab activites & assigned projects.

  • Create and enhance a culture of safety within the lab team.

  • Train lab team in technical as well as in safety topics.

  • Coordinate lab studies and customer projects.

  • Manage interface to EHSQ functions & relevant government bodies. Responsibility for lab safety and compliance.

Technical Service

  • Responsible for conducting applied technology services in the region India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

  • Develop relationships with key customers, system houses, technology partners in the respective regions

  • Responsible for all technical customer engagements and projects for the Segment Comfort (Flexible and Automotive).

  • Collaborate closely with other technical, sales and supply chain teams for the service of cross-regional accounts

  • Provide technical and product training to colleagues & customers and distributors (in coop. with global and regional marketing)

  • Recognize regional technology trends and drivers. Collect market intelligence and share within the regional team.

  • Identify collaborations and partnerships for new technologies

  • Participate actively in global team meetings & ensure technical aspects are covered

  • Support local sales team at customer events and at trade shows

  • Handle customer quality complaints related to technical performance

Market Segment Strategy

  • Develop a strong understanding of regional market needs, in order to take part in programs to support business growth

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing for the creation of a product strategy in the region

  • Participate actively in meeting of the global team organization and ensure technical aspects are covered

  • Contribute to define and implement mid- to long-term lab strategy (location, expansion etc.) in collaboration with Regional Head and other interfaces & functions.

Qualification & experience required :

  • Science graduate with minimum 05 years of relevant work experience.

  • Open to travel
