Job Description Summary

Performs specialized maintenance and repair services in either multiple crafts (such as electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and millwrighting), or in a single craft but with significant, specialized expertise. Has a sound understanding of the maintenance history of the building, equipment, and other facilities to be maintained.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review plant maintenance requests to formulate labor, material, special tools, job-specific safety precautions, and equipment requirements (material monitoring and delivery thereof) and prepare backlog.
  • Develop and/or support job plans by creating SAP task lists for Evonik and internal and external contractors to ensure quality craftsmanship with high regard for employee safety and maintenance cost reduction.
  • Develop a weekly schedule with input from gatekeeper, maintenance supervisor after receiving priorities for the following week.
  • Analyze work and material requests for compliance with established Evonik standards and workflow and provide accurate estimates through the use of established time standards and job knowledge.
  • Create job packages when necessary to include drawings, work order history, PIDs sketches, BOM (Bill of Material) lists, loop sheets, ISOs, safety requirements, and other documentation depending on the size of the job.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or Industry-related degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in planning/scheduling maintenance or construction activities, reading construction drawings, and generating construction sketches and management experience. Preference is to industrial/manufacturing experience.  
  • Planning/scheduling maintenance or construction activities for a Plant facility. 
  • Problem-solving, communication, organization, and experience using Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Project.
  • Certification as a Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) by the Society of Maintenance & Reliability Professionals Certifying Organization preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP and a Maintenance Scheduling Tool is required. 
  • Experience performing craft work in a plant.  
  • Field work in a plant environment, handling hazardous materials which includes wearing of protective clothing and equipment. 

The pay range for this position is: $83,900-$139,800
