Production Engineer

For our methionine production facilities in Antwerp, we are looking for a talented and ambitious Chemical Engineer who is interested in combining technical expertise with long-term career development opportunities within an international chemical company.

In this role, you will contribute to the safe, efficient and sustainable operation of our production plants. Your responsibilities will include:

• • Monitoring and supporting daily production activities
  • Assisting with production planning and process optimization
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Participating in investment and development projects
  • Contributing to initiatives related to Process Engineering, Environment, Safety, Health & Quality (ESHQ), and Energy Management

Profile

• • Master of Science in Chemical Engineering or a PhD in Chemistry
  • Strong interest in chemical manufacturing, process technology, ESHQ and energy efficiency
  • Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, responsible and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ambition and potential to grow into positions with increased responsibility, including management opportunities within Evonik or at the Antwerp site
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English; knowledge of German is considered an asset
