Our Key Specialty Amine Products
Regardless of the end-use application, our customers benefit from more than 50 years of development expertise in amine technologies, supported by Evonik's global production network, reliable supply and dedicated technical service.
APDEA is a pale pink to light brown liquid used as a chain extender and co‑curing agent in polyurethane and coating systems. Its high reactivity and multifunctional structure make it suitable as a reactive intermediate in paints and coatings, polymerization reactions, and textile processing. APDEA enhances performance where controlled reactivity and stable film formation are required.
BAPMA is a water‑soluble, colorless to yellow liquid with a characteristic amine odor. It is widely used as a reactive intermediate in agriculture, pulp and paper, textile treatments, and water treatment chemicals. Its excellent solubility profile and amine functionality support efficient formulation and processing across diverse industries.
DECHA is a colorless to straw‑yellow liquid commonly used for chain termination in polymer catalysis and as a reactive intermediate in chemical synthesis. It is an important building block in the production of polymers, plastics, and pharmaceutical intermediates, offering predictable reactivity and compatibility with a wide range of organic substrates.
DCHA is a strongly basic, clear, colorless liquid with a typical amine odor. It is soluble in organic solvents and slightly soluble in water, making it valuable in the production of rubber additives, textile auxiliaries, pulp processing chemicals, and lubricants. DCHA provides high stability and functional performance in demanding industrial environments.
DBU is a clear, light‑yellow liquid of low volatility used as a strong, non‑nucleophilic base in organic synthesis. It functions as both a complexing ligand and a reactive intermediate across a variety of chemical processes. DBU is also widely used as a curing agent in epoxy coatings, where its strong catalytic activity ensures efficient crosslinking and film performance.
DMCHA is a tertiary amine used extensively in surface coatings, sealants, fillers, binding agents, and detergent formulations. As a reactive intermediate, it plays a key role in producing fuel additives and lubricant additives, offering stable performance and reliable catalysis across multiple industrial applications.
MDCHA is a highly basic, clear, colorless liquid that dissolves readily in organic solvents. It is used in the manufacture of rubber additives, textile chemicals, lubricants, oils, and pharmaceutical intermediates. MDCHA provides excellent stability and compatibility in formulations requiring strong base functionality and low volatility.
TEDA is a white to light‑yellow solid used as a strong ligand, Lewis base, and unhindered amine catalyst. Known for its versatility, TEDA is applied across polymer synthesis, chemical processing, and curing systems requiring high catalytic efficiency.
DMAPA is a moderately basic, water‑miscible liquid used as a versatile reactive intermediate in personal care, detergents, and the production of betaine surfactants. It is valued for enhancing solubility, pH adjustment, and functional modification in a wide range of formulations.
