Animals require amino acids, and providing just the right amount –no more, no less – ensures performance is maintained while reducing costs: not only the cost of feed, but cost to the environment and cost to the animal. By minimizing reliance on high-protein, expensive ingredients like soybean meal, low crude protein diets can lead to substantial savings.
