Renewable Electricity

To reduce our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, the use of renewable electricity and, in the long term, renewable steam is essential.

RSPO-Certified Feedstock

Palm (kernel) oil derivatives are used as raw materials for VISIOMER® Terra C13-MA. Our RSPO-certified raw materials ensure traceability back to the certified sources. In addition, RSPO-certified material has a lower carbon footprint.

Product Carbon Footprint

Life cycle assessment (LCA) is an essential tool to evaluate the product carbon footprint and our own CO₂ emission. The calculations are the foundation to define effective measures to reduce CO₂ emissions. We support our customers on their sustainability evaluations by providing LCA results to our customers.

Non-Hazardous Alternatives

The replacement of harmful substances is a key issue for resin manufacturers and their suppliers. We are dedicated to develop low-odor, label friendly monomers to replace hazardous and flammable monomers in various applications.

New Methacrylate Monomers

All new product innovations include an initial toxicological evaluation at an early stage to ensure our focus on low hazardous monomers. This evaluation is mandatory and integrated in our project management system.

Future-Driven Applications

We focus on developing products and technologies that also reduce the environmental impact of our customers and end users to support the sustainability benefits (also referred to as handprint).

Future-Driven Methacrylates

VISIOMER® Terra products feature low hazards, a biocarbon content of up to 85%. VISIOMER® eCO products have a lower carbon footprint than their fossil-based equivalents. VISIOMER® eCO applies a mass balance approach to replace fossil by circular raw materials.

Portfolio Sustainability Assessment

We monitor and shape our product portfolio annually by a Portfolio Sustainability Assessment (PSA) using the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) principles and methodology.
