Cable Insulation with VESTOPLAST and POLYVEST®
Cable filling
Cable filling based on VESTOPLAST® offers excellent waterproofing properties along with a very good flexibility at low temperatures. VESTOPLAST® can modify cable jellies and thus help to prevent the cables from mechanical stress.
Jelly compounds
The environmentally neutral compositions are plasticizer- and VOC-free, strongly hydrophobic and resistant to chemicals and microorganisms. The formulations provide high dielectric breakdown voltage but do not attack plastic casings or cable sheathings. POLYVEST® is inert towards metals and alloys.
Flexible Flat Cables with DYNACOLL®
DYNACOLL® S based adhesives are used for laminating PET films with themselves or with metal foils mainly copper. Recently new grades with good solubility in non-chlorinated, low boiling solvents like methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and ethyl acetate were developed providing excellent adhesion properties and good hydrolysis resistance.
Potting compounds with POLYVEST®
POLYVEST® are alternative cross-linkers to isocyanates in two-pack formulations for cable insulation & potting compounds.
POLYVEST® can be used as alternative crosslinkers to isocyanates in 2-pack formulations. The environmentally neutral composition is strongly hydrophobic, plasticizer and VOC free, resistant to chemicals and microorganisms. It provides high dielectric breakdown voltage. Plastic casings and cable sheathing are not attacked. POLYVEST® is inert towards metals and alloys.
