Carpets
Heavy coating compounds & filament bonding
As heavy coating compound in carpet tiles VESTOPLAST® offers an eco friendly polymeric backbone with a high filler absorption capacity, good sound and waterproofing properties as well as a good thermal isolation. If also used as hot melt pre-coating for filament bonding, VESTOPLAST® can be the one-polymer-solution for easy recyclable carpets.
Hygiene Applications
The excellent hydrolytic stability and the good bonding properties to various substrates makes VESTOPLAST®
a good choice as base polymer for hotmelt adhesives in the hygiene area.
Textiles
Hot melt adhesives based on DYNACOLL® copolyesters are widely used in the textile industry for bonding instead of sewing. Thermoplastic copolyesters are needed for fusible interlinings which are fixed to various fabrics in garments to provide dimension stability, durability and washing resistance. Further application fields are seam seals, shoes and lingerie.
The DYNACOLL® S granules can be applied by hot melt print or converted into adhesive films, nets, webs or powder.
Reactive hot melts based on DYNACOLL® 7000 polyester polyols are mainly used for out- door, sports and leisure wear. Difficult to bond breathable membranes are bonded with various synthetic materials. These high performance adhesives can fulfil the high requirements on water, wheather & temperature resistance, elasticity and softness.
Mattresses
VESTOPLAST® with its very good adhesion properties to various substrates like latex, foams, coconut fibers etc. is widely used in adhesives for mattresses. Compared to highly crystalline polymers it offers furthermore superior sound damping properties.
