Unlocking Versatility: POLYVEST® as the Ultimate Reactive Plasticizer for MRG's
POLYVEST® products are highly versatile and serve as effective reactive plasticizers for mechanical rubber goods (MRG). Due to its rubber-based composition, POLYVEST® integrates seamlessly into the rubber matrix of MRG compounds, ensuring excellent compatibility and performance.
Benefits for MRG Applications:
- Also suitable for use in recycled rubber applications (e.g. playground mats)
- Can be used for both sulphuric and peroxidic cross-linking in EPDM compounds
- Enhances dispersibility of inorganic fillers
- Increases elasticity and resistance to deformation
- Reduces vulcanization time while improving tensile strength and compound viscosity
Elevate Your Rubber Formulations with POLYVEST® MA
POLYVEST® MA 75 is a specialized adduct derived from low molecular weight 1,4-cis liquid polybutadiene, functionalized with maleic anhydride. This unique formulation features randomly distributed succinic anhydride groups along the polymer chains, enhancing the polarity of the originally non-polar polybutadiene and making it more reactive for a variety of chemical processes. Additionally, we offer other maleic anhydride functionalized adducts with varying levels of maleic anhydride content and viscosity, such as POLYVEST® EP MA 100.
Benefits for MRG Applications:
- Can be used for sulphuric cross-linking
- Improves adhesion towards polar substrates
- Improves elasticity
- Higher resistance to deformation
- Improve dispersibility of inorganic fillers in rubber compounds
- Shorter vulcanization time, higher tensile strength and reduced compound viscosity in EPDM compounds
POLYVEST® EP MV: The Versatile Low Viscosity Polybutadiene
POLYVEST® EP MV is a stereospecific, low viscous and unsaponifiable liquid polybutadiene manufactured using Ziegler-Natta polymerization. Due to its microstructure and outstanding combination of double bonds (higher vinyl, mid cis, no trans double bonds), this apolar and hydrophobic polybutadiene is a highly reactive and crosslinking binder providing benefits to a broad range of applications. This leads to a product with low viscosity, while simultaneously offering a suitable molecular weight.
Benefits for MRG Applications:
- Can be used for peroxidic cross-linking in EPDM compounds
- Hardness improvement
- Better processing
- Anti-bleeding effect
- Low temperature resistance
