How bioefficacy reduces transport, handling, and storage volumes

MetAMINO® delivers methionine with high bioefficacy. Because less product is required, transport volumes are reduced accordingly. Extensive research shows that 65 units of MetAMINO® can replace 100 units of methionine hydroxy analogs without compromising animal performance. Since one truck can generally transport the same quantity of liquid MHA-FA and MetAMINO® (e.g. 10 metric tons), the higher bioefficacy of MetAMINO® translates directly into lower transport volumes.

Consequently, instead of three full truckloads of liquid methionine sources, only two truckloads of MetAMINO® are needed to deliver the same performance. This reduces the quantity that needs to be transported, stored, and handled.

MetAMINO® is a dry, crystalline DL‑methionine with a purity of more than 99%, making it easy to transport, store, and handle. In contrast, liquid methionine sources are acidic and corrosive, and increase equipment wear and tear, and maintenance requirements.

Dry MetAMINO® integrates smoothly into standard feed mill processes, enabling precise dosing and homogeneous mixing. This reduces processing time, minimizes residues, and supports efficient throughput. Simpler handling means more straightforward logistics.
