You need

A tall, slender glass
Food coloring
Water
Cooking oil
Flashlight
Vitamin pill

Fill a glass one-third full with brightly colored water and carefully top it up with cooking oil.

Illuminate the glass from below.

Break a vitamin tablet and throw it into the water.

What happens?

The tablet dissolves in water, forming bubbles filled with carbon dioxide. They want to rise to the top. To do that, they have to pass through the oil. Because the bubbles are surrounded by a water film, a colored bubble rises to the top.
