Evonik has been active in Malaysia for many years and formally opened a local office in 1995. Today, our Malaysia hub - located in Selangor (Kuala Lumpur, Selangor) - connects us to customers across the country and the wider region.
In 2015 we relocated and expanded to Bandar Sunway to support growth and to consolidate leverage regional functions. The site now brings together commercial teams (sales, marketing, business services) but also a Shared Services Center, which provides IT, procurement, and finance services (including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and cost accounting) for the wider Asia‑Pacific and European regions.
Beyond corporate services, Evonik Malaysia plays a role in our specialty solutions chemicals portfolio for local and regional customers. Core activities in the region include feed and lubricant additives, hydrogen peroxide, precipitated & fumed silica, personal and household care additives, coating additives, and high‑performance polymers -giving colleagues here exposure to a broad set of industries and technologies.
