Supervises employees using machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure EHS & Q compliance while operating complex systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for carrying out new product trials and for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies.

  • Provide operational support services and sometimes act as first-line supervisor of a transactional operations area, involves using existing systems and protocols.

  • Oversee a small (< 5) team of direct & indirect hire operations personnel performing routine work.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance routines.

  • Contribute data and information to production plans. Run reports, check accuracy, and distribute information.

  • Help to install complex systems, implement procedures, and conduct inspections of equipment with guidance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S. in STEM field is preferred but High School Diploma with 5 years’ experience or more in a manufacturing is acceptable.
  • Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems
  • 1-2 years’ experience of coordinating the work of others
  • Independently plans, organizes, prioritizes, and oversees activities to efficiently meet business objectives while providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively to express ideas, request actions, develop plans, and create or review concise, effective reports.
  • Develops and executes appropriate plans and actions based on business recommendations, requirements, and organizational needs.
  • Manages safe work systems and develops, monitors, and interprets policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational strategies and objectives.
