RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the new product/technology development of products or technical solutions in the field of oleochemistry for cosmetic, cleaning or health care or interface & performance applications for GCR region, if necessary also globally. 
• Conduct lab experiments for oleochemistry reactions such as esterification, amidation, quaternization, exthoxylation, etc. Be able to run necessary analysis test method and get reliable result which comparable to plant QC. Scaling up of lab trial for the production. Sufficient communication with AT and other stakeholders teams to manage projects forward. 
• Responsible for current product / process optimization based on requirement from BL / PL and plant PT, effectively and quick response; Support global new product introduction to local plant, run lab trail to evaluate SOP and adjust according to local plant facilities, conditions control capability and local raw material quality; Run lab trail to evaluate and qualify new raw material from local vender for SCM/ production supporting; Support for plant chemical process problem solving and improvement, work with AT and plant together to investigate and deal with customer complaint; Efficiency enhancement and/or cost saving support for the plant from the point of chemical synthesis.
• Responsibility for lab management including chemical, process, equipment safety and smooth running of lab ISO and ESHQ management systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master degree or above, major in organic chemistry or chemical engineering.
• Experience in product development, process optimization, and technology transfer to manufacturing.
• Experience with technical performance testing, analytical methods, and result interpretation.
• Strong project management and time management capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of oleochemistry and/or organic synthesis.
• Solid understanding of the reactions such as esterification, amidation, quaternization, and especially ethoxylation. 
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production and process-related challenges.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable communicating and presenting in English with global colleagues.
• Strong communication skills to handle the connections to different stakeholders during project management
