RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the overall production operation, ensure all activities are carried out in a safe, compliant and efficient manner, meeting all quality requirements. Support and execute Maintenance, TAR and project activities.
- Lead, mentor and develop the team leaders. The Production Manager maintains and further develops the open communication with plant personnel by e.g. regularly scheduling meetings with the plants’ Shift Team Leaders. The Production Manager acts as moderator or consultant whenever needed. In addition he/she ensures open communication among all technicians in order to improve safety and efficiency within production
- Support training of all team members. The Production Manager identifies training needs for the whole production team, based on the performance appraisals, monitoring during work hours and in collaboration with the Training Specialist. He/she ensures that the required times and resources for training are available and that the training program and the applied methods also undergo continuous improvement. Part of the training is conducted by him/herself.
- Foster continuous improvement process (CIP) to optimize plant and administrative processes in all relevant areas.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Min. 10 years experience in chemical or petrochemical production.
- Applicant must be willing to work in Jurong Island (Company Transport provided)
- Ability to plan and coordinate production and shift personnel.
- Proficient in root cause analysis tools (fishbone, ABC, etc).
- Open minded towards team concept.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Soft Skills such as, listening skills, body language, giving feedback, conflict management, delegation, understanding organizational culture and subculture, emotional intelligence, and ethical leadership.
- Basic chemical, fire and medical response skills.
- List machines, tools, equipment, and others used in the performance of the duties. Computer, including standard software and SAP
- Unique working conditions: Outline specific physical, environmental, or unique conditions associated with the position.
- Office work
- Field work in chemical plant environment, handling highly hazardous materials
- Field work includes wearing of protective clothing and equipment
